For the lazy, here is a module for support for the bigfoot package for LyX (outlined here). Find your User directory from Help > About LyX and then put the file in "<User directory>/layouts/". Then do Tools > Reconfigure.
Many thanks for the bigfoot module, which I have downloaded and attempted to use. My only query is whether it is available without the use of the roman numerals? I need to use it in a critical edition of a work where I wish to append notes to the authors footnotes. Any help on this would be appreciated. Likewise am I correct in thinking that using the letters as footnote references is limited to a-z after which you get an error message (I seem to have one about the counter).
Hi al-Kakazai, I'm not sure about either of your questions. Sorry, I just did a quick job on this. Let me know if you are able to make any improvements. Thanks.
